The Living Green at LCR ministry provides environmental educational and "hands-on" opportunities to foster appreciation and stewardship of God's creation.

 

Activities include:

• Field trips to local preserves, museums, and festivals.

• The annual cleanup of the north Thousand Islands from the church dock with Keep Brevard Beautiful and the City of Cocoa Beach.

• Hosted two Brevard Zoo Oyster Gardening workshops for the public as we seek ways to help the Indian River Lagoon.

• Hosted "dock talks" on the church dock with speakers on a variety of topics.

 

Much of the landscaping on the church campus includes Florida native plants. Living Green at LCR was awarded a "Keep Brevard Beautiful" landscape grant in 2018 to add new areas to existing native landscaping there.
